About cleaning-services procurement
Cleaning services are one of the largest steady-state SMME procurement categories in government. Every department, hospital, school complex, court, police station, and SOE facility runs cleaning contracts, typically on multi-year terms. The sector includes general facility cleaning, specialised hospital and laboratory hygiene, hygiene consumables supply (paper, soap, dispensers), and integrated facility management contracts that bundle cleaning with related services.
