Why we built Tenderpreneurs
Government procurement in South Africa is worth more than R800 billion a year. Yet most of that money flows to a small number of established suppliers, not because small businesses lack the capability to deliver, but because they lack the information and tools to compete.
We built Tenderpreneurs to change that. Our team has spent years working with SMMEs across South Africa — watching capable suppliers miss deadlines because they didn't know a tender existed, get disqualified because their CSD profile had a single expired document, or walk away from opportunities because the PFMA compliance requirements felt impenetrable.
Tenderpreneurs is our answer to that problem. It aggregates tender opportunities from eTenders, provincial portals, and municipality websites into a single searchable feed. It pairs that with a plain-language PFMA knowledge base — every regulation explained, every SBD form documented, every threshold table up to date. And it layers AI on top to give you win-probability scores, compliance gap analysis, and instant answers to your procurement questions.
Who we're for
We built Tenderpreneurs for South African SMMEs — the construction company with five employees in Limpopo, the IT consultancy in Durban trying to break into the public sector, the catering business in the Northern Cape that wants to supply school nutrition. Our approach
We don't guess. Every piece of content in our PFMA knowledge base is cited to the actual legislation — the Public Finance Management Act 1 of 1999, the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, the B-BBEE Act, Treasury Regulations, and CIDB Regulations. When legislation changes, we update our content.
